Theatreworks – The Emperor’s New Clothes
Enjoy Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fable of greed and privilege brought to life on stage. When it comes to fashion and well, everything, this emperor knows it all, or so he thinks. A charlatan decides to profit from his bombast. He persuades the emperor that he has the world’s most exquisite fabric. The emperor pays the “tailor” a fortune, but when he goes to inspect his dazzling new wardrobe, the con artist offers a clever trick that ultimately shows the foolishness brought on by the emperor’s “sophistication.”
