Mindless Behavior & Friends
In just the past few years, teen-pop/R&B quartet Mindless Behavior have opened up sold-out shows for the likes of Justin Bieber and Janet Jackson, taken the stage at two White House events, and backed up their hit-packed debut album with a national tour that’s soon to be the subject of their own feature-length documentary and concert movie.
Formed in 2008 by record executive Vincent Herbert, who also discovered Lady Gaga, the teen quartet released “All Around the World” in March 2013 where it landed at No. 6 and No. 1 on Billboard‘s Top 200 and R&B/Hip-Hop albums charts following their 2011 debut, “#1 Girl.”
With the goal of empowering kids across the planet, the Mindless Movement is “all about having the freedom to express yourself and make the best of who you are, and not letting anything hold you back from that,” according to bandmember Roc Royal. A key element of the Mindless lifestyle, that self-celebration is also infused into every track on All Around The World. “Our message is a huge part of our music—you can hear it in everything we put out,” says another band memeber. “Over the past couple years we’ve had a lot of fans come up to us and tell us, ‘I’m more confident now, I’m being myself, I’m so much stronger.’ It’s amazing to deliver that message to people and see our music make some kind of positive change in our fans’ lives.”
The nonprofit Florida Theatre is happy to present Mindless Behavior & Friends, live in concert, at 7:00 pm on December 27, 2013 at the historic venue in downtown Jacksonville.
